HNS Signs Secretly Turn The Bulls Head into The Garrison for the hit BBC Show’s Premier Launch Event
Sketch Events, the PR Stunt and Experiential Events company who boast clients such as cBeebies, Tottenham Hotspur Martini, Warner Brothers and 20th Century Fox approached HNS Signs to transform Birmingham pub The Bull’s Head into Peaky Blinder’s Head Quarters The Garrison with just five days to plan, manufacture and install with stealth the new signage that needed to be authentic yet not compromise the original, existing signage of The Bull’s Head.
HNS Signs who are award-winning signwriters and signmakers relished the opportunity as huge fans of the show and enjoyed the secrecy surrounding the project.
Unlike other pub signs, the temporary, yet safe, secure and authentic sign was 17 metres long and was devised using a folded aluminium composite tray that folded around the building. It was fitted the morning of the PR event, and HNS Signs had to sign an NDA to ensure the details of the PR event remained a secret until the day itself. The sign was installed in sections and secured using a hook and loop system along the top and bottom to ensure no damage was done to the original signage.
In addition to the main pub sign, HNS Signs were also asked to develop a projecting sign which was hung from The Bull’s Head’s existing brackets.
Following the launch event of The Peaky Blinders, the infamous pub; The Garrison needed reverting back to The Bulls Head – which required a quick turnaround from the HNS Team who acted swiftly with precision to ensure The Bull’s Head signage was clear, visible and free from damage in the shortest period possible.
Lisa De Salis, Sketch Events who found HNS Signs on the back of our incredible portfolio says: “We used HNS Signs for a local job in Birmingham without ever having used them before, and from the very first call, Sam and his team were cordial, helpful, and managed to arrange what we needed in a very short time frame. They ensured that the temporary signs we needed to be built to re-brand a pub were installed securely and without having to fix into or compromise the pubs existing signs which was a pre-requisite of the job. would recommend and use again for sure.”
